Tropical Mint Green Smoothie

Updated: Jan 2, 2019

This green smoothie not only tastes like a tropical dream, but includes 5 servings of vegetables, and as a bonus, you can’t even taste them!

Watch the Recipe Video below!

Do you find it hard to eat enough fruits and vegetables in a day? The Canadian Food Guide recommends 7 - 10 servings of fruits and vegetables every day, but many of us struggle to meet even just the minimum.

To ensure that I do get enough vegetables every day, I used Ergogenics Organic Whole Greens in this recipe. You can use any type of green powder that you like, however, I really like the quality of this product, the price-point is great, and it’s a Canadian company based in Vancouver. Ergogenics has also been so kind to provided the FBB Community with 20% off your next order with the code FITBYBRITT. So you can save even more money too!

**Note: This is not a sponsored post and I do not make any money if you purchase any products from their site. I just wanted to save the FBB Community some money on a great product and support a Canadian company that I believe in.**

I do have to give Shawna Baker from Synergy Nutrition credit for designing this recipe and sharing it with me, I just switched out a couple of the ingredients, like the Morigna Powder for the Organic Greens (which she suggested) and it turned out so great! Even my mom, who gets turned off by “green smoothies” thought that this recipe was delicious!

Tropical Mint Green Smoothie

▸ ▹ Vegan, raw, gluten-free, oil-free, refined sugar-free, nut-free

Yield: 4 cups (or 2 large servings)

Prep Time: 5 min

Total Time: 5 min

3 small-medium ripe bananas

1 tbsp Ergogenics Organic Green Powder

1/4 cup fresh mint (loosely packed)

1 cup spinach

2 cups water

INGREDIENTS: Optional Toppings

Garnish with fresh fruit, mint leaves, or coconut flakes.

Blend all ingredients until well combined. Serve in a tall glass or enjoy on the go.

* Do you have leftovers or want to meal-prep this recipe? Pour your blended smoothie into a mason jar(s) and chill in the fridge to enjoy later. If you choose this option, just give your smoothie a little shake before drinking as some of the ingredients may have separated. Your smoothie will stay good for about 2 - 3 days in the fridge.

** Ergogenics Organic Greens is a comprehensive powerhouse green blend filled with algae, spirulina, moringa, kale, spinach, cabbage, alfalfa, broccoli florets, matcha green tea, and more.
