Our Fit By Britt Group Fitness Classes are energetic, motivating, and fun, with our main goal focused on that last word, FUN!

 

At Fit By Britt, we want you to find enjoyment in working out. Our goal is to help you feel confident, proud, and strong at the end of each class, craving to come back for more because of our unique and welcoming atmosphere. Your success in reaching your goals is our success, and we are here to support you throughout your entire wellness journey.

 

We offer a variety of classes primarily focussed on functional training, meaning the exercises you will be doing in our classes will reflect movements you perform in your every day life. Each class is different so that you will never get bored or plateau, and you will learn different training techniques that you can incorporate at home.

Winter 2020 CLASSES 

Mondays

Class Name: MOVESTRONG - in Thorsby

When: 9-Week Session (Jan. 13 - Mar. 16, 2020)

*NO Class Feb. 17, 2020

Time: Mondays from 10:00 - 10:45 a.m.

Location: Thorsby Recreation Complex

(4901 - 48 Ave, Thorsby, AB)

Registration: 9-Week Program is $110 before Dec. 31, 2019    

or $120 after Dec. 31, 2019

Drop-in Rate: $15 (cash or e-transfer is accepted.)

Class Description:

MOVESTRONG is an energetic circuit class that incorporates resistance training and cardio exercises to burn fat, build strength, tone muscles, and feel strong!

Our CARDIO portion (15 minutes) of the class is usually completed on the spin bikes with the option to use a treadmill or rowing machine. For the STRENGTH section of the class, we use a variety of equipment including dumbbells, bands, kettlebells, battle ropes, steps, wall balls, our own body weight and more! This keeps class exciting and your muscles always feeling challenged.

MOVESTRONG is great for all levels (beginner to advanced students). This is a time based workout class with modifications provided based on your level of fitness OR individual needs.

Tuesdays

Lifting weights is key to having a healthy and strong body. Our MOVESTRONG circuit class in Calmar focuses on building strength by using dumbbells, kettlebells, steps, bands, and our own bodyweight to tone muscles!

This is a 45-minute circuit class with the exercises changing each week to keep the class fun and exciting as well as our muscles constantly challenged. We will include some short bursts of cardio, but don't worry, modifications are provided so that you can workout at your own individual level.

MOVESTRONG is great for all levels (beginner to advanced students). This is a time-based workout class with modifications provided based on your level of fitness.

Class Name: MOVESTRONG - in Calmar

When: 10-Week Session (Jan. 14 - Mar. 17, 2020)

Time: Tuesdays from 6:00 - 6:45 p.m.

Location: Calmar Community Centre

Thursdays

Class Name: BODY CONDITIONING - in Calmar

When: 9-Week Session (Jan. 16 - Mar. 19, 2020)

*NO Class Feb. 6, 2020

Time: Thursdays from 6:00 - 7:00 p.m.

Location: Calmar Secondary School

Registration: 9-Week Program is $135 before Dec. 31, 2019    

or $150 after Dec. 31, 2019

Registered Class - Only 10 Spots Available. 

Class Description:

Gain muscle strength and endurance in our BODY CONDITIONING class. You will learn how to lift weights properly while completing creative, fun workouts each week which will leave you feeling like a badass! Some weight lifting experience is needed.

 

This class is for intermediate to advanced students. We do not recommend this class for beginner fitness students.

 

In this 1-hour class you will learn how to lift and use a new piece of equipment which will then be incorporated into the Workout Of the Day (WOD). Equipment used will range from barbells to kettlebells, spin bikes to row machines, and everything in between.

 

You will learn how to properly perform deadlifts, pull-ups, back squats, kettlebell swings and more which will leave you feeling confident to step into any gym! Over the next 9-weeks, you will build strength with the goal of everyone increasing their overall strength and endurance. The exercises and workout format will change each week to keep the class fun and exciting as well as our muscles constantly challenged.

 

We will include some short bursts or cardio, but don't worry, modifications are provided so that you can workout at your own individual level.
